Free pilot · Spoken Hebrew practice

Understand Hebrew? Time to speak it.

TalkIvrit is a conversation partner you talk to out loud. The tutor listens, answers in Hebrew, remembers what you talked about last time, and suggests corrections after each conversation.

Start a conversation

Runs in your browser and needs a microphone. The first load can take up to a minute while the server wakes up.

Example conversation

שלום! על מה נדבר היום?

Hi! What shall we talk about today?

אני רוצה לדבר על העבודה החדשה שלי.

I'd like to talk about my new job.

איזה יופי! ספרו לי, מה אתם עושים שם?

How great! Tell me, what do you do there?

How it works

  1. Open the app

Allow the microphone and choose how the tutor should address you.

  2. Talk in Hebrew

Speak at your own pace. The tutor answers out loud and keeps the conversation going.

  3. Review afterwards

See suggested corrections and new words, taken from what you actually said.

Built for speaking

For people who learned Hebrew and want to actually speak it: ulpan graduates, new immigrants, and anyone who understands more than they can say.

A real conversation

You speak and listen in real time. No multiple choice, no typing.

It remembers you

The next conversation can pick up where the last one ended. You can delete anything it remembers.

Feedback, not grades

Corrections are suggestions based on what you actually said, not scores.

Addresses you your way

Choose masculine, feminine or neutral Hebrew, and tell the tutor how to pronounce your name.

About the pilot

TalkIvrit is free during the pilot. It is for adults (18+) and is not offered in the EU, the UK or Switzerland while the pilot runs. During the pilot the app itself is called Dibur (דיבור).

Conversations are processed by Google Gemini on the free tier, where Google may use content to improve its products, so please don't share sensitive information. The app explains what it stores and how to delete it.
